Need to access your ALEKS Math placement exam or Prep & Learning modules? Follow these verified login pathways depending on your college's authentication system.

Method A: University Portal / Canvas SSO

Most Common for Placement Tests

Over 85% of universities link ALEKS PPL directly to your student credentials. You do not need a separate McGraw-Hill password.

  1. Log into your university portal or Learning Management System (Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace/D2L).
  2. Navigate to your Math Placement or New Student Orientation course.
  3. Click on the external link titled ALEKS Math Placement (PPL).
  4. You will be seamlessly authenticated into your personalized ALEKS dashboard.

Method B: Direct ALEKS.com Account

For Direct Class Enrollments

If your college provided you with a unique 10-character Class Code (e.g. ABCDE-12345), follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official portal at aleks.com.
  2. Click Sign In at the top right.
  3. Enter your ALEKS Login Name and Password.
  4. If registering for the first time, click "Sign Up Now" and input your 10-digit class code.

Close Forbidden AppsLockDown Browser will refuse to open if apps like Spotify, Discord, Zoom, Skype, or screen capture tools are running in the background. Use Task Manager (Windows) or Activity Monitor (Mac) to quit them.
Allow Webcam & Mic AccessEnsure your computer's System Settings give LockDown Browser permission to access camera and microphone hardware before launching your exam.
Clear Cache & CookiesIf your college SSO loop redirects back to the login screen, open an incognito window or clear browser cookies for aleks.com.
